Without a doubt, I responded, "Absolutely not!"
I love 2 Corinthians 4:16 (NIV):
Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we're wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
My 20's were challenging because I wanted to be and do so much more than I had available to me. During my 30's I began to catch a glimpse of and to grasp a hold of the purposes God planted within me. Now, in my 40's, I am finally living out some of those purposes.
My pastor asked this question today:
On what are you hanging your heart? People, places, and things disappoint, BUT JESUS....
More and more each day I am finding BUT JESUS... and He's wonderfully freeing! This morning I so enjoyed singing:
At the top of my lungs I will sing, “Hallelujah!”
You’re the One who saved me, the One who gave me
This life I live forevermore, forevermore!
At the top of my lungs I will sing, “Hallelujah!”
I’m not ashamed. I’ll praise Your name,
Let the whole world know I love You, Lord. I love You, Lord!
